The Three Musketeers |
Based (very losely) on the Dumas classic, From
the Top's first show was packed with jokes and songs in true
panto style. It was staged at Highbury Little Theatre, a venue
that has since become a regular venue for the group. |

Something for the Weekend |
Set in a 1920s barber's shop that is actually
a front for a speakeasy. This original work by group chairman
Dave Crump provided non-stop gags and plenty of songs to entertain. |

Treasure Island |
Another pantomime and another adaptation of
a classic tale. This time, Robert Lois Stevenson gets the
Crump treatment. Plenty of pirate jokes and songs turn the
classic tale into another hit show. |

My Fair Lady |
The first proper musical show for the group
and a change of venue too. My Fair Lady was staged at the
Crescent Theatre in Birmingham's city centre. |

Time Gentlemen Please |
Set in the Stangled Cat pub, this tale of simple
country folk saw the group return the Highbury Little Theatre.
Another Crump classic (as opposed to a classic conversion). |

Calamity Jane |
The show tells the story of tom-boy Calamity
Jane who is always telling the town of Deadwood about her
exploits. However she tends to be "careless with the
truth" as Wild Bill Hickok is quick to point out. |

Crazy For You |
This 1992 Tony Award winner for Best Musical is a classic song-and-dance show reminiscent of "42nd Street" and "Singin' in the Rain". It's a stylish, sassy, hilarious romantic comedy featuring a fantastic George and Ira Gershwin score, including "Someone to Watch Over Me," "I Got Rhythm," "They Can't Take That Away From Me" and "Embraceable You." Who could ask for anything more? |

Sherlock Holmes - the Hound of the Basketcases |
This show invited audiences to step back in time and into 221b Baker Street to join Holmes and Watson as they unravel the mystery of the Hound of the Basketcases (any similarity to an existing story is entirely coincidental). Some people said Sherlock Holmes as a panto - it couldn't be done. Some even said it shouldn't be done but this has been one of our most successful shows. |

We Gotta Get Out |
Imagine what would happen if you were to win the lottery but you couldn't collect your winnings. A group of prisoners find themselves in this exact situation hence the cry "we gotta get out". Written by our resident wit, Dave Crump you can be sure that the gags will flow thick and fast with the odd song thrown in along the way. |

Quite a novelty production written by the chairman and the Front of House Manager and therefore scores extra points! It was very amusing with some lively performances from the ‘gang’ who finished up behind bars (not the drinking ones) Good singing from Trish Brookes and Louise Blackburn particularly in the Cell Block Tango. Also good strong impressive parts from Paul Wescott and Rich Greene; congratulations to Nick Whitehouse and Dave Crump who kept up the momentum throughout. Well done to the Procution team and the Musical Director; you have a good team here.

Robin Hood - The Panto |
Yet another show written by our resident wit Dave Crump, Robin hood robbed the rich, gave to the poor and even found tim for a song or two along the way. |

“These pantos are always a bit of fun, plenty of jokes, some old some new but always funny when told well. The energy put into this production by the cast is always worth seeing. Some good singing particularly Robin (Louise Blackburn) and Maid Marion (Kate Langford), who blended together very well. Great comedy from Will Scarlet (Mike Fleming) and the dame, Nora (Meirion Buck). A very nasty Prince John (Nick Whitehouse) and Sheriff (Les Holgate) got lots of boos, and a delightful performance from Mary Dodd as Fairy Blossom. In fact it had all the main ingredients for a good night out.”
